Hello! I’m David, a Product Design Leader with 20+ years experience empowering large Fortune 500 companies, all the way down to small four person start ups, while helping all make impactful results. My drive to push the needle outside of the expected has always been the fuel that has moved me forward.

Most recently, I was a Senior Product Designer where, with a nimble UX team, was tasked with opening and establishing a startup for The Volkswagen Group named CARIAD, based in Redmond, WA. I was challenged with embracing ambiguity on many fronts in the developer tools space; helping an organization find a coherent and strategic cloud software direction, while enabling a large legacy vehicle manufacturer find it’s footing in the rapidly growing and fiercely competitive global cloud-connected EV vehicle marketplace.

Outside of global company challenges, I find a deep interest in helping develop design team culture, understanding the needs of designers having a seat at the table in companies (whether they are design-focused and knowledgeable or not). From running informative all-hands presentations to lift company-wide knowledge of UX design, to developing branding and communication channels to insure the company is portrayed in the best possible light, I’ve done it all.

I am definitely a strong team player, and probably err on the side of trusting too much, but I would not have it any other way, because I know that the best teams are built on hard work, trust and mutual respect, and nothing great ever happens alone.
